Lens construction: 17 elements in 15 groups

The advanced optics in the NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.2 S create optimum aberration balance and sharpness. Textures are rendered beautifully, with suppressed colour fringing, to create images with stunning realism.

Size and weight: approx. 90 x 150mm (diameter x length), approx. 1060g

Focusing system: multi-focus system, internal focussing system

Multiple autofocus stepping motor units work together, controlling multiple lens groups, for fast, accurate AF, especially important when wide open at f/1.2 with the narrow focal plane.

Controls: manual focus ring, clickless control ring, two L-fn buttons

The control ring and L-fn buttons can be assigned a variety of functions for ease of use in either stills or video. Linear operation of the focus ring in manual focus gives you smooth control in video.

Filter size: 82mm

The same filter size as the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S and NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.2 S for easy sharing of filters when using the ultra-fast prime trinity.

Coatings: Meso Amorphous, ARNEO, Nano Crystal

Lens coatings combine with the internal optics to greatly reduce flare and ghosting for excellent clarity, even with the lens hood off. Strong light sources in the frame, such as the sun, won’t interfere with the sharpness and clarity of your images either.
